Traminco Uganda Limited is undertaking construction of Edward Avenue, Buddu Street, Ssese Street and Jesserby Street a project worth 17 billion Shillings. The firm was supposed to complete the projects in July this year. However, only 19 percent of the work is done.
Daniel Mugula, the Treasurer Masaka Lorry Drivers Association, says they decided to relocate their vehicles to the streets until the municipality finds them a decent place to operate from. He says they have rejected all the alternative venues offered by the municipality because of safety concerns.
