Misdiagnosis, Low Case Detection Hurting Pediatric TB Treatment 2

Reports from Ntungamo District Health Department indicate that only forty percent of the suspected pediatric Tuberculosis cases have been diagnosed. The district has got only three Genexpert TB testing machines. The challenge is however worsened by missed diagnosis with most of the children with Tuberculosis instead of being given treatment for cough and Pneumonia which worsens the situation. Some of the children do not get any treatment at all.
