The clashes were triggered by the death of one Matayo Wulimbwa Mutsunga, a resident of Kyoho II village in Kasese district, who was attacked by unknown people on Monday evening. Eyewitnesses, who preferred anonymity, told URN that Mutsunga was accused of participating in cattle thefts in Kabonero Sub County.
The beneficiaries are Burundi, Comoros, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Somalia, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda. Funding will also go toward the procurement of essential medical supplies, including testing kits and to train health workers.
The process set to commence on July, 2 and run until July 17 2020, seeks to sieve contestants for the parliamentary, local government and special interest groups elections ahead of the general elections to be held early next year.

The police had earlier arrested one of their colleagues identified as Mubakari Kuloba who was found carrying two passengers on his motorcycle. But in the process of evading arrest, Kuloba lost control and knocked a tree, leaving him with injuries, which sparked the protest.
According to health officials in the district, for over six consecutive months, the district’s accredited health facilities haven’t received essential drugs especially for second line ARVs and for the pediatrics regiments.
