The said incident occurred over the weekend in Mityana Mugulu Singo county at a thanksgiving ceremony which had been organized at the Clan headquarters to commemorate 6 years of service of the outgoing Speaker of the Bataka cabinet Kayiira.
Enanga however, was quick to add that what was done on that event was not intentional and it’s the reason why police has come out to apologizes to all those who were directly impacted by the teargas including the retired Bishop of catholic church, and the cultural leaders from Buganda Kingdom at large.
Professor Katunguka’s comments come at a time when a section of academic staff are bickering over continued importation of university managers. The staff argue that 90% of university’s top senior managerial positions are occupied by people who come from outside the university like Makerere, University Christian University and Makerere business school etc.
