The 1. 8 Billion Shillings Kakabara-Nabingola road was constructed under the Development Response to Displacement Impact Project-DRDIP. The program that is under the Office of the Prime Minister is intended to support refugee-hosting communities.
In the petition dated 10th/09/2021, signed by 9 councilors who indicated that they got concerned when the district was paying 100,000 to the VHTs starting with an installation of 50,000 which contradicts the National guidelines of a conditional grant for covid19.
According to them, this has left them in a dilemma of which explanation to give to their electorates on why Manafwa district is handling the covid19 money with uniqueness from its neighbours.
