The body of the Retired Anglican Bishop of Soroti Diocese Geresom Ilukor has been transferred to Mulago Hospital as burial preparations get underway. The deceased’s daughter Jean Aarakit, told Uganda Radio Network on phone that a requiem service will be held today September 2 at All Saints Cathedral, Nakasero. After the church service, the body will be transported to Lieutenant General Charles Angina’s home in Kyambogo for a vigil before it is transported on Tuesday morning to Bukedea.

The Uganda Law Society (ULS) has unanimously agreed to challenge the reappointment of retired Chief Justice Benjamin Odoki in court if Parliament vets him. A member of ULS Bruce Kyerere filed a petition that was discussed at the society’s extraordinary general meeting.
