The World Health Organisation estimates that around 116,000 deaths in Sub Saharan Africa occur due to consuming substandard drugs. The most common type of substandard medicines includes emergency contraceptive pills and antimalarial drugs.
According to Balisanyuka, Ongom will receive half pay during the interdiction until he is cleared by Court. Trouble for Ongom started after he appeared before the Dokolo Magistrate’s Court on June 06, 2019 for assault and being a public nuisance.
