The residents of Green Valley, Church Zone, Kisenyi 1 and 2, Kifumbira zone, Mulimira and among other areas argue that the sanitation in the area is appalling and likely to result in an outbreak of diseases.
In his December 8th statement addressed to Muslim leaders at various levels, Mugalu notes that it has been observed that many mosques have relaxed on observing the SOPs and COVID-19 preventive measures put in place by the Ministry of Health. Brian Kisembo, the Covid-19 Incident Manager in Kabarole and Fort Portal City says over 200 people have contracted the virus in the two areas even though 90 have since recovered. On Monday, the Ministry of Health confirmed 55 new cases in Kabarole, which is the highest number that has ever been recorded in the district.
