In the petition dated 10th/09/2021, signed by 9 councilors who indicated that they got concerned when the district was paying 100,000 to the VHTs starting with an installation of 50,000 which contradicts the National guidelines of a conditional grant for covid19.
According to them, this has left them in a dilemma of which explanation to give to their electorates on why Manafwa district is handling the covid19 money with uniqueness from its neighbours.
Dr. Richard Obeti the district Health Officer says they are trying to move closer to the teachers to ensure they comply with the directive of the ministry of health.
