In Karamoja, findings by the United Nations Childrens agency--UNICEF--obtained from the district data in December 2017 shows that 60 percent of the teachers are not even teaching. The findings indicate that 29 percent of teachers are in school but not in class, 24 percent are not even at school and six percent are in class but not teaching.
