Twinomugisha says that as the Inspectorate of Government office, they have been charged with the responsibility of eliminating corruption, abuse of authority and of public office, which she intends to do starting with an investigation of government employees who are known for being absent at work.
Last week, the State Minister of Economic Monitoring, Peter Ogwang ordered a forensic audit in the Mbale City revenue collections for the last four financial years. The Minister attributed the poor revenue collection to corrupt officials.
The CAO has now directed the District Health Officer to deploy a team of health workers to ensure that all people who present themselves for interviews are vaccinated before facing the panel.
