Members of Parliament have today thrown their weight behind the Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga as she contests for Second National Chairperson of the National Resistance Movement (NRM).
The previous chairperson of the commission Med Sozzi Kaggwa died in November last year. However, he has never been replaced close to eight months down the road. It’s on the basis of this that the committee pointed to the gross underperformance of the commission in the absence of a fully constituted team.
The legislator who has represented Kasambya county in Mubende since 2016, was born and raised in Gongo village in Igara, Bushenyi District. He has already picked nomination forms from the ruling National Resistance Movement-NRM party to contest for Igara West Parliamentary seat, where he is already a registered voter.
