The Governor of Torit State, Eastern Equatorial Province Alberio Tobiolo Oromo alleges that intelligence information indicates that some suspected rebels are harboured in the refugee settlement in Uganda from where they coordinate their activities before intensifying attacks in South Sudan.
The suspect is identified as Fred Tsekoko, was arrested after one Scovia Mugala, a resident of Rwahaha Town Council filed a complaint implicating him for soliciting a bribe of 2 million Shillings to help her secure a job as an enrolled midwife, which had been advertised by the district Service Commission last year.
They are part of the 2,000 personnel to be recruited under the 4th Division Army barracks to form part of the 13,000 recruits expected from across the country, in the drive that will run to the end of the month.
The fire that is suspected to have started from one of the dormitories near the mosque reduced properties to ashes before it was contained by the Police Fire Brigade. Textbooks, classroom work, mattresses, case boxes, clothing and utensils, belonging to 50 students were all destroyed.
