It is alleged that on 12th February 2022, the area MP Kwania County Tony Ayo hired a witch doctor identified as Peter Ogwang to perform a ritual at his place in Obolo Cani village following theft of his 8 head of cattle, which ended in three people including the deceased Mike Odure, Innocent Okello and another only identified as Okello being poisoned.
Geoffrey Okwanga, a resident of Aculawic Village says that he has lost valuable items to thieves that have been terrorizing the area for the last 20-years. He said he is ready to give out some land to pave way for the construction of a police post.
Denis Ogola, the father of the deceased, says his son attempted to commit suicide two times on grounds that he was not given cattle and money for dowry.

The suspects are Robert Obia, Joshua Ogwal, Keren Ayugi, Better Amongi and Jaspher Oloro all from Abwongdani Village. Others are Jimmy Okoi from Atimnadi Village, Jimmy Odongo and Wilfred Nyero all from Baronger Village,Abwong parish, Abongomola Sub County.
