Joseph Mongusho, one of the Village Health Teams members attached to Swam said that the government sent 466 million Shillings to Bukwo district of which 316 million Shillings was meant for allowances for Village Health Teams and Chairpersons, but they have not received any payment since July 2021.
Kampala Resident City Commissioner Hud Hussein says that village leaders are expected to have active security committees, consisting of the secretary for defence, the chairman and the local defence units, a village register with particulars of all residents, and village identity cards.
