On Friday, the Kabale High Court Judge, Justice Kawumi Kazibwe dismissed the petition saying that all the accusations and affidavits lacked merit. Justice Kazibwe also ordered Matsiko to pay Muzanira all the costs.
Norman Tumuhimbise, the National coordinator of The Alternative, which evolved from Jobless Brotherhood, says the decision to conduct polls by lining up behind candidates, compromises voter privacy and integrity of the polls.
The ruling was in response to an application filed by Joseph Bossa, the UPC vice President under the Olara Otunnu administration and two others, challenging Akenas presidency.
