Moses Muzima, the Isingiro District Police Commander, says minor could have been raped before she was killed. Muzima says they have arrested three people in connection to the incident.
The 14 suspects and others still at large are accused of directing systematic attacks against Shia and Tabligh Muslims, in a wave of attacks in which several clerics were killed.
Latif Zaake, the Greater Masaka Region Police Commander, says some of the suspects are directly connected to the recent robberies and raids on residents homes.
