It is alleged that three thugs, armed with a gun on Tuesday night raided a mobile money shop belonging to Wilson Agaba in Kivengenyi village and put him at gunpoint before ordering him to surrender all the money he had.
The angry supporters blocked the Kampala-Jinja road in Mukono Central town using burnt car tyres. Some supporters were also seen defacing posters of candidates belonging to the National Resistance Movement-NRM and setting them ablaze.
The development comes after some protests started earlier in the City Centre following the arrest of NUP presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine in Eastern region of Uganda earlier today.
According to the Kyenjojo District Probation Officer, Joseline Mbabazi, the figure is based on the number of girls between the ages of 10 and 19 who sought antenatal care services at different heath centres.
Grace Pande, the OC CID Gulu said the suspect jumped over the fence of the police station at a time when the cells were opened for the suspects to go and ease themselves. The OC says the police officer who was on duty is being investigated.
