According to Luke Owoyesigyire, the Deputy Police Spokesperson for Kampala Metropolitan, Ssejjibwa was apprehended during an operation in Natete's Ssendawula zone, where a group of assailants had raided an apartment complex and stolen various items.
The Police Unit currently employs various breeds, including German Shepherds, Bloodhounds, and English Springer Spaniels, for tracking down suspects. The Belgian Malinois is a large-sized herding breed and one of the four Belgian Shepherd breeds.
