The deceased persons who are family members have only been identified as Nuwagaba, Musinguzi and Mugarura, all residents of Lwamata A village in Lwamata Parish, Mpasana sub-county in Kakumiro district. They were killed on Friday.
Ben Takan, the Chief Security Officer for Defense for Hire Security Company Limited, which was hired to guard the quarry, received information about the raid and promptly alerted the police.
The suspects are Zapayi Ndagigimana 42, Samuel Niyigena 24 and Patience Mujawimana, all residents of Kabubwa East LC1, Kitutumwa parish, Kibijjo sub county in Kakumiro district. They are accused of murdering Richard Bagonza of the same area.
They were arrested during joint operations conducted by the police, Uganda Peoples Defense Forces-UPDF, and Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence in Kampala and transferred to Kakumiro district.
Julius Hakiza, the Albertine region police spokesperson has confirmed all the murders to Uganda Radio Network -URN, adding that investigations are ongoing.
The suspect has been identified as Private Francis Byakole No. RA 226361 who was formerly attached to the Karenga UPDF 3rd division in Kabong district in the Karamoja region.
The suspect is identified as Nabbos Byarugaba 30, a resident of Muziranduru village, Kibijjo subcounty, the deceased is Florence Musiime 25, a resident of the same area.
The suspect has been identified as Gladys Tumwesigye 43, a resident of Katikara village, Katikara Parish in Katikara sub county of Kakumiro district while the deceased is Martine Ariho 32, a resident of the same area.
The deceased body with deep cuts on his head, face and neck was found dumped by the road side in Mutabwa cell, Mutabwa ward of Kakindo town council in Kakumiro district.
The suspects have been identified as; Abdallah Byamukama, Mafene Niwamanya and William Magezi all residents of Igayaza town council in Kakumiro district.
It is reported that Uwimana went to fetch water with Mbabazi at Kabayigalira Swamp, a few kilometers from their home. On their way back, Uwimana allegedly attacked and strangled the girl, later dumping her lifeless body in the nearby swamp.

The suspects have been identified as Samuel Mukisa alias Big Spender, Asuman Sempiira, Denis Barigye alias Kawalata and John Justus Turinawe. They were all arrested from Igayaza Town Council in Kakumiro during an intelligence-led operation on Saturday and Sunday.
They are accused of murdering Tadeo Tukundane 22, a resident of the same area. It is alleged that around 11 pm on Christmas day the trio connived and severely beat their victim for unknown reasons leaving him in a coma. He sustained deep cuts on the head and neck.
Muzabyara fell victim to the assailants around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday night. She was alone when the assailants struck and swiftly fled the scene after accomplishing their mission. Joselyne Kyalisiima, a resident says that upon hearing her cries for help, residents rushed to find her lying lifeless in a pool of blood.
The deceased has been identified as Joshua Hakizimana 13, a pupil at Kyakaregura Primary school that is situated in the same area. The incident happened on Wednesday evening.
