The attack comes just two weeks after the victim's colleague, Asuman Mutegula, a private guard working with the same security group was shot dead while guarding a produce store, in Kasokoso ward, in Central division, in Iganga municipality.

The Busoga East Police Commander, Anatolli Katungwesi says that they tracked down the suspects in their hideouts in the outskirts of Iganga town. He, however, says that the prime suspect is still at large.
