Reuben Twinomujuni, the University Senior Public Relations Officer, says that following the outbreak of covid-19 at the university, the university decided to cancel physical learning and resort to online teaching.
Last week, the student developed COVID-19 signs and she reported to the university medical center where she was advised to go for a covid-19 test at Makerere University, where she tested positive. She is now receiving treatment at Namboole COVID-19 treatment facility.
Isaac Erase, a private security guard with Kamed Security Company told URN that one of their bosses briefed them on Sunday indicating that COVID-19 has already entered the university and advised them to enforce the Standard Operating Procedures-SOPs.
