Nelson Otim Olwit, a resident of Abim Town Council, says that while people were angered by the death of Ogolla and the continued raids in the district, another group worsened the situation when they attempted to steal cattle from the same home on Sunday night.
In their petition signed by 40 power consumers, the petitioners want all the damaged poles and broken cables fixed. They also want PACMECS to waive off the service fees for the three months they have not had power.

On Friday, Abim Magistrate Court presided over by Nicholas Aisu, the Grade One magistrate heard that the suspect identified as Charles Dickens Orebo, a resident of Ywee-Wii village in Angolebwal parish Morulem town council reportedly assaulted Eveline Abonyo of the same village over a 200 Shillings debt.
According to Owilli, the deceased was seating in front of his house when he was shot dead. He says three people have been killed by suspected Matheniko and Jie cattle rustlers in his village since this year began. He says one of the residents was killed in his garden while another was shot with an arrow at a community borehole.

At least 17 health workers in the district hospital tested positive out of the 79 samples taken last week. another 11 tested positive from Morulem Health Centre III. The 28 are all said to be contacts of a midwife attached to Morulem Health Centre who was admitted to Abim Hospital, while in labour.
