A 16 year old girl has committed in suicide in Masaka after she discovered she was pregnant. Victo Nakaggwa hung herself in a pit latrine on Sunday night. Her body was discovered by her family on Monday morning.
Mbabazi said that even after this life threatening ordeal at the hands of the rebels, the late Okurut continued to pursue a peaceful resolution to the conflict. He even went so far as to champion the enactment of the amnesty law to benefit former rebels
General Julius Oketta, the head of the technical committee revealed that some of the settlement authorities including an LC 3 chairman have been fighting over the land in question. Others included nationals such identified as Ssungwa Sylvester and Muhesi Aston who went ahead to create their own villages on the land and started selling and leasing land to other people.
