Lira District Undertakes to Curtail Malnutrition 2

On monthly basis, between 30 to 50 cases of malnourished children are admitted at Lira regional referral hospital therapeutic unit. On average, 40 of them are put on rehabilitation treatment and continue to collect their feeds as outpatients. The nutrition unit has about 25 severely malnourished children on admission.

In an e-mail to URN, the commissioner PEPD Earnest Rubondo said that all the agreements that the government of Uganda has entered into with the oil companies are endorsed by both parties adding that the documents circulated don't represent a copy of the PSAs since they bear no such endorsement.

Two Remanded over Attack on Tourists

Two of the tourists, a Kenyan identified as Samuel Wanyaga and Daniel Lanti a Swedish National were injured in the attack that took place on August 10th 2014. This brings to three, the number of persons who have been arrested in connection with the incident.
