The 1978 Uganda Cranes football team have been awarded the Golden Jubilee medals for their outstanding service to the country. The team, some of whose members are dead, took Uganda to the finals of the Africa Cup of Nations before losing 2-0 to hosts Ghana in the penultimate game of the tournament.
Jinja municipality collects over 50 million shillings from the Source of the Nile gate collections per month.
