Kadaga Wants Minister Kibuule Investigated age limit motion 1 2

The Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga has this afternoon directed parliaments rules, discipline and privileges committee to investigate State Minister for Water Ronald Kibuule. Her directive followed a review of yesterdays footage at parliament which confirmed that Kibuule had eluded security checks to enter the Chambers with a fire arm. Kibuules motive for entering with a weapon has not yet been established.

Amnesty International Condemns UCC Media Directive age limit debate

Amnesty International has called on the Uganda government to stop threatening media outlets over their live coverage of events related to proposed removal of the presidential age limits. This comes after Uganda Communications Commission UCC today issued a directive warning of dire consequences for broadcast stations, both radio and television, that relay live feeds from Parliament where the issue is under debate.
