The affected schools include ten Government aided Primary Schools and a privately owned Secondary School. They are Wii-Aceng Primary School in, Loyo Awic Primary School, Lubangaber Primary School, Lakwana Primary School and Graceland Girls' Secondary School.
In addition to the usual contentious requirement lists that shcools are known for,finalists returning to their respective schools will have to carry liters of handsanitizers, jik and several two layered facial masks. Some schools have also gone ahead to ask for facial shield and even stipulate the colour of mask that parents are supposed to buy
Pader Acting District Education Officer Francis Olwoch told Uganda Radio Network in an interview that although schools in the district have been able to purchase the requirements especially thermometer guns and handwashing facilities, most obtained them through credit.
Ahead of the education institutions re-opening for candidates and finalists while celebrating independence, Fagil Mandy, a renown educationist has advised that for teachers to be independent socially and economically, they should continue with small businesses that bring in more income but also teacher in schools.
Francis Gizamba, the headteacher Bugiboni Primary School, says they are contemplating sending their candidates to Bugitimwa Primary School but they are yet to consult the top school management to effect the decision.
