In a letter dated November 19 written, signed by George William Magezi, the Kamwenge district returning Officer and addressed to the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Magezi states that he received and considered withdrawal notices by Nuwagba and Atuhaire.
Muhangi's nomination had been blocked by the Ntungamo District Returning Officer Robert Baine after reportedly arriving late at the venue. On the same day of his anticipated nomination, Munangi had been bounced for failing to deliver all the required paperwork to support his bid.
