Dr John Barugahare, the Principal Investigator on the study told URN in an interview on Thursday that the government did not consider any ethics when imposing early lockdown restrictions and to date, no deliberations on ethics have taken place.
Robert Mugabe, the returning officer for Kawempe division, Ivan Munanura returning officer Makindye division and Doreen Musiime returning officer Kampala Central division said several bribes have been given to presiding officers to alter results after they have been declared at polling stations.
Barbra Mulimira, the Kampala Electoral Commission returning officer declared Lukwago winner with 194,592 while his closet rival and National Unity Platform candidate Nabilah Naggayi Sempala garnered only 60,082 votes.
Although Kyagulanyi indicated his willingness to challenge the results, his party officials in an interview with Uganda Radio Network said they are not enthusiastic about it. Joel Ssenyonyi who speaks for NUP said, going to court is just one of the many options available to them.
NUP only lost one out of four women slots, which went to Olive Namazzi Kagobola, a candidate for the Forum for Democratic Change. In Nakawa 1, Nkugwa Fauzol was declared the winner with 2,794 votes defeating NRM’s Robert Webale who scored 1,159. In Nakawa II, Innocent Tegusulwa polled 3,714 votes to defeat NRM's Meddie Mutumba who garnered 1,795.
The proposed medicine, whose components are being kept top secret, will be tried on up to 300 participants who present with mild to severe disease. Although she doesn’t divulge details about the cure, Dr. Musenero says the treatment is a hundred percent natural but will be taken to the factory for appropriate mixture.

It is said that instead of the 55 votes that the NUP candidate Winston Nsibirwa got from the polling station, the tally showed 65, an excess of 10 votes.
Security has since deployed at his home in Magere, Wakiso district to allegedly prevent unrest in the country. Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga said earlier that Robert Kyagulanyi was placed under “preventive arrest” because he planned to disrupt public order since he and his party, the National Unity Platform have alleged fraud in polls held a week ago.
