It is said that Irene Namono disappeared with the key to the Exam container at Kalisizo police station for several hours and was nowhere to be seen by 8:45 am when learners were expected to be sitting for the papers.
According to Loy Ariye the girl has been revising before she gave birth. The young mother has been allowed to enter the examinations room together with her baby to ease breast feeding.
Distribution of examination papers from the storage centres began as early as 7:00 am. By 8:30 am, candidates were already seated in examination rooms at schools visited by URN reporters.
Records from the district education department indicate most of the pupils were married off while others crossed to neighbouring Kenya to do causal jobs and others involved in gold mining, hawking and fishing activities.
