Police has been blocking walk to work protests but ironically many city residents walked home today as the police went into running battles with protestors demonstrating against the brutal arrest of FDC leader Kiiza Besigye.
A young man who was injured in the protests in Makindye has stormed Parliament half naked demanding for action against police brutality. Edward Kiggundu who stormed parliament late in the afternoon says he had been tortured by military police.
The opposition Political parties have set terms for engagement in dialogue with President Museveni\'s government. The parties have condemned the brutal arrest of opposition leader Kiiza Besigye and are demanding a personal apology from President Museveni. They say the current atmosphere in the country is not conducive for meaningful dialogue.
