National Forestry Authority-NFA is considering extending the deadline for the eviction of forest reserve encroachers in Kibaale district to January next year after failing to push them out today. In May this year, NFA and Kibaale district officials set Monday August 26th as deadline for over 15000 encroachers on all 15 central forest reserve to vacate.
Police in Kibaale district are holding a 35 year old man for defiling an 11-year-old girl. The suspect Alex Tweyambe was caught red handed defiling the minor on Wednesday afternoon.
