The Nakasongola District Veterinary Office enforced the ban, which saw the closure of butcheries and livestock markets in the affected areas to contain the spread of the disease.
“Those displaced in Bududa are being assisted in the extended family system while their counterparts in Bundibugyo are expected to spend the next three months in camps because they have no homes to return to” Kwesiga told journalists in Kampala on Monday.
According to Dr. Izaara, this model of fish farming could turn around, the nutritional levels in the country if government decided to tap into this project.
