Bright Nuwamanya, the Nyakashashara Sub County chief, says despite registering FMD outbreak in their farms, the farmers freely move around their cattle in contravention of the quarantine.
Yonasi Kithola, the Kithoulu Sub County LC V Councilor, says the district has severally spoken about the economic impact of the poor road network on the area. He says today only a few farmers can afford the high transport costs to deliver their produce to markets in Bwera and Kasese town.

Steven Katwire, the Senior Agricultural Engineer in the Ministry of Agriculture says that the money has been allocated in response to a request by the district authorities who sought support towards repairing some of the community access roads in the area that are in bad shape.
