The State Minister for Agriculture Henry Aggrey Bagiire says some farmers were found to have replanted their crops soon after the floods that hit several areas in the region.
The exercise involves a meeting of key stakeholders including municipal council technical staff, head of sections in the market and allocation of space to the vendors.
FAO Director-General QU Dongyu says that such bottlenecks are holding back potential and need urgent interventions to increase coordination and upskilling human capacity in African nations. He added that funds must also be unlocked and public finance systems streamlined, “so that the scarce resources we have do not go unspent”.
