Robert Olado, one of the affected farmers in Omugenya village says that he has so far lost five head of cattle to the disease, saying there is need for urgent intervention by the government to embark on massive immunization of animals in the entire sub-county.
In sub-counties of Gweri, Kamuda and Soroti, a number of residents are seen screaming, drumming, blowing whistles, sounding pans and throwing stones to chase away the migratory pests which invaded the area more than a week ago.
