The United Nations (UN) Secretary General Antonio Guterres has said that COVID-19 pandemic has provided a pretext for repressive security responses that curtail civic space and media freedom.
The Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson, Patrick Onyango, says the suspects include managers of arcades and people who were found without wearing face masks.

The new cases were part of 8,223 samples that were tested yesterday for the disease. This brings the total number of reported cases in the country to 25,059, up from 23,860 cases recorded on Monday
