Nutritionists Want Cassava Growing Revived in Napak farmers in Napak 3 1

In 2001, the government introduced Cassava growing in Napak district as part of the effort to improve food security. The farmers gradually embraced the crop but later dropped due to a number of challenges such as prolonged drought, thieves, and diseases among others. Now the Nutritionists are saying the malnutrition and hunger in the households would be addressed through encouraging farmers to embrace cassava growing.

Matany Hospital Loses Medical kits to Gunshot Patients karamoja region 1 1 Top story

Dr. John Bosco Nsubuga, the medical superintendent of St. Kizito hospital Matany, says that they have lost eight External Fix Setter machines to patients. Nsubuga said gunshot wounds always take about three weeks to heal but due to limited space in the hospital, they are forced to release patients who return home with some medical kits.

Hundreds of Bullet Wound Patients Overwhelming Matany Hospital 1

Dr. John Bosco Nsubuga the medical superintendent of St Kizito Matany hospital told Uganda Radio Network on Friday that the increasing number of patients with bullet wounds was stressing the limited resources that the hospital has for other emergency diseases.
