Dr Lukwago says that the commission is highly considering deploying teachers depending on where they have applied from. According to Lukwago, this will take immediate effect this month during the next upcoming recruitment exercise.
Statistics available from the District Health Department shows of the targeted 5,000 teachers to be vaccinated as one of the priority population group 1,668 have taken their first jab and only 714 have got their second jabs.
