“The recommended candidate for Principal MakCHS, has never been Chair/ Head of Department, but has been a substantive Dean (School of Medicine) for only three months, having service previously as Deputy Dean –a position that does not exist in the University Structure,” say staff of the college in their petition to council.
The executive program, which will run on weekends, was born out of disagreements by the School and university management on the remuneration of lecturers on the Evening Programme.

Those issued warning letters include the Gender and Ethics & Integrity guild Minister, Marion Kirabo, who is also a fourth year student of Bachelor of Laws. Judith Nalukwago a Bachelor of Dental Surgery who is also the Vice Guild President has also been warned.

Sumaya Nakanda, one of the affected students, says she has failed to upgrade using the academic documents from Busoga university due to lack of approved registration numbers, which can only be availed after acquiring her transcript.
Nuwagaba had spent 17months out of university service following his dismissal on May 23rd, 2018 by the University Appointments Board for alleged extortion and bribery. However, the university Human Resource Director, Richard Mugisha reinstated Nuwagaba in a September 10th, 2019 letter and deployed him as the Chief Custodian of the College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology –CEDAT.
Eng. Frank Kitumba was evicted by a team from the University Estates, Works Directorate, security guards and police officers in what his lawyers described the eviction as unfortunate and contempt of the law.
“Nobody understands their issue. Maybe they are playing tribal politics because if you are accusing somebody, you should have concrete proof to say this man has stolen this money, this man has done and mismanaged this and therefore he can go.
