According to the traffic and road safety regulations, a driver of a vehicle is required to exercise extra care in approaching and traversing rail crossings and apply reasonable speed to enable him or her to stop if circumstances so require.
She was stabbed in the neck by an unidentified assailant while visiting her friend Amiina Babirye in Danida village in Walukuba-Masese division around 9:30 p.m. Philemon Kudera, a resident of the area, says that Mutesi was pronounced dead on arrival at Danida Health Centre II.
An eyewitness, Ali Mukose, says that Mwase and his unidentified lover began the fight at around 8 pm and fought for close to two hours, raising concern from their neighbours, who then surrounded their house and called Kabugudu to intervene. But in the process, Kabugudu was stabbed in the abdomen.
Umar Musoke, one of the vendors who lost properties in the fire, says that they heard a big blast from the neighbouring kiosk, prompting all vendors to converge in the fire assembly point. He adds that not much was saved as they fled to save their dear lives from the flames which destroyed food items, beverages and electronics.
Muzamilu Izimba, a cyclist operating opposite the taxi park who witnessed the incident says that the deceased arrested two suspects at around 5:30 am. He adds that as Tanga was opening the police post cells, one of the suspects pushed him and cut his head before fleeing the scene.
