The Wakiso District Engineer, Samuel Mwesigwa says although they had put up a temporary wooden deck at the section, there is need to construct a permanent bridge.
Residents have admitted being the root cause of the problem. Alex Mulindwa, a resident of Matuga, says the damage would have been minimal if residents hadnt reclaimed wetlands.
