Alon Mulyanyuma, the town clerk Nakaloke town council in Mbale district has been accused for conniving with a section of councilors in the town council and gave away part of land hosting the town council headquarters and part of land hosting the police station.

Mathius Nabutayi, the Deputy Prime Minister in Charge of Umukuka Affairs in Inzu Ya Masaba, says the Umukuka was rushed to Masaba Wing at Mbale Regional Referral Hospital on Tuesday in critical condition.
Dr. Emmanuel Tugaineyo Ituzo, the Director Mbale Regional Referral Hospital, says they have halted fresh admissions because the number of Covid19 patients is beyond their bed capacity. He says they are in the process of relocating the isolation center to the mental unit, which has the capacity of more than 40 beds.
Rodgers Taitika, the Elgon Region Police Spokesperson, said they have talked with bank managers to ensure their clients observe the physical distancing and other COVID-19 preventive measures to avoid closure.
