Crispus Ayena Odongo, former Oyam North County Member of Parliament in Oyam district has been jailed over failure to pay a total of shillings 146 million debts.
Ayena, the lead defense lead counsel to Dominic Ongwen, former Lords Resistant Army rebel commander currently undergoing trial at the Hague based International Criminal Court.
The Buganda Road Grade One Magistrate, Edith Mbabazi shocked the prison authorities when she adjournment various cases but made no mention of Pato’s case file. This prompted the prison officials who were attending the court session through video link from Luzira Prison to inquire from the magistrate why she hadn’t read other files.
Sande Lokii Samaria, 61, a retired Police Sergeant broke down before the Commission while speaking about her land that was reportedly given to Nakapiripirit Primary School without her knowledge. Sande explained that the land grabbers left her family without any land or bother to explain their actions.
