According to Moses Oyet -the complainant, on learning that Oyoo sold him land belonging to another person, he called him for negotiations for refund of the UGX 26 million but that Oyoo chose to go into hiding, only to be arrested and charged with obtaining money by false pretense contrary to section 305 of the Penal Code Act.
Military prosecutors led by Captain Ambroze Guma said that they didn't have any objection to bail application of the accused persons. He however, hastened to add that they are finalizing the scrutinizing of the affidavits for the remaining 18 suspects.
“The defendant obtained letters of administration without waiting for the will, which is expected in July 2021 when the last funeral rites of the deceased will be held,” the plaint reads in part
Before giving out the timelines, the parties first agreed and framed four issues that they want determined by court, including whether the First Instance Division of the East African Court of Justice committed procedural irregularities in the hearing and determination of the case.
