They were charged with three counts of murder and attempted murder, offenses they allegedly committed on 23rd August this year, at Ssetaala and Ssenya villages located in Kimanya-Kabonera division in Masaka city.
“This petition accordingly fails and it is hereby dismissed with costs. This court hereby declares Mboizi Arthur Waako to be the duly elected Member of Parliament for Budaka County constituency,” the judgement reads in part.
Oloo ran to court on grounds that there was impersonation of polling agents and falsification of results, non-compliance of electoral laws that allegedly affected the outcome of the results.
Kidandala had also alleged that Ssegirinya’s nomination was not accompanied by the names and signatures of a minimum of ten persons who are registered voters in the Kawempe North constituency, as required by the law.
