Prosecution led by Kabale State Attorney, Gloria Inzikuru, told court that on July 29th 2012, while at Kabahangaara cell in Karubanda ward in Southern division of Kabale municipality, Twinomuhangi murdered Asasira in contravention of section 188/189 of the penal code act.
A Rakai couple is in police custody following the death of their child during a domestic squabble. Initial reports indicate that the couple\'s 10-year-old child was hit by a brick during a physical confrontation between the parents. The child has been identified as Vicky Namatovu. The child\'s parents are Moses Lubega and his wife Rose Nakanwagi.
Police in Kalangala is holding an 8 months old pregnant woman identified as Alice Namirembe for allegedly causing the death of her husband only identified as Obua. The two were residing at Jaana landing site in Bubeke Sub County. According to an eye witness identified as John Kisitu, Obua had come back home on Monday during lunch time while drunk and started demanding for food from his wife who was still preparing the meal.
A man has been arrested in Nakasongola district after confessing to killing his two sons Davis Seguya (4) and Ronia Tebutyanga (3). The man Ronald Batte is currently detained at Nakasongola Police Station for his own safety.
Security operatives in Mubende district are hunting for a UPDF soldier, who shot dead his wife this morning. The incident, according to the police, occurred at 10 am, at Kikoona village in Mubende town council.

A woman has been arrested in Mbirizi, Lwengo district, for striking and killing her husband for refusing to share kwanjula money. The 45-year old woman Joyce Nakalema killed her husband Vincent Kagiri (44) after learning he had received 175, 000 shillings from their future son-law and refused to share it with her.

Soroti High Court on Thursday sentenced a 35 year old man to 25 years imprisonment for hacking his wife Esther Ameso to death. It also sentenced another man who killed his brother over a bitter disagreement.
Prosecution in the case in which Makerere University lecturer Dr Faisal Buyinza is accused of masterminding an acid attack on his wife Hanifah Nakyiryowa, has today informed court that his case file has been sent back to police.
