The district leadership chose Busoro Sub County to host the new district headquarters. However, the decision sparked a serious dispute between the district and Kingdom.
Construction of the OPD was halted last month after the municipal council made changes to the initial design. These changes include adding worktops at the reception and laboratory and also painting the exterior of the block.
Six candidates have expressed interest to contest for the position with three from the NRM and two from Forum for Democratic Change and an Independent candidate.
