Farmers withdrew milk supply due to poor pay and abandoned the facility rendering it redundant. Ruhweza says that they have since handed over the milk cooler to a new cooperative, which they believe will run the facility more reliably.
Marvin Mugara, the Kasenda Sub-county chief, says that he attempted to visit the gold exploration site to ascertain what was going but he was turned away and warned never to return without an appointment or question the activities.

In Kabarole district, the National Resistance Movement – NRM candidate Richard Rwabuhinga defeated his four opponents with a huge margin. According to the Returning Officer, Prossy Banura, Rwabuhinga polled 32,709 votes and was followed by John Businge with 2,988.
But Rwabuhinga explains that in 2018, President Museveni lobbied the Chinese government to construct two stadia in Uganda: Akii-Bua in Lira and Buhinga in Tooro. He says the Chinese government accepted the request on condition that Buhinga will be a state-of-the-art stadium with capacity to accommodate 60,000 people.
On Tuesday, Kabarole district leaders including the LCV Chairperson Richard Rwabuhinga, Woman Member of Parliament Sylvia Rwabwogo and Fort Portal Municipality MP Alex Ruhunda met with the State Minister for Sports, Hamson Denis Obua and allocated 18.2 acres of land for a regional stadium.
Rwabuhinga explained to URN in an interview that government's plan is to construct a secondary school in each sub county in the country. He says as far as the council is concerned, St Joseph's Karangura Secondary school is complete and they cannot add it more funds.
The elders say that much as the leasing of the land is likely to foster development, there is a segment of the population that has raised a red flag on the basis of a possible conflict of interest by the district chairman or the area councilors.
According to the minister, local leaders and parliamentarians should instead be focusing on creation of economic zones in the already existing structures to boost local economies hence increased local revenue tax collections.
The residents say that the road, which connects to Karago Town Council and Sub Counties of Bukuku and Mugusu, had developed large potholes filled with stagnant water, was bushy and would get so slippery during rainy seasons and efforts to have it repaired by the sub county leaders had proved fruitless.

The laboratory located in Boma, Fort Portal Municipality will be used for testing road materials that include soils, gravel, bitumen, and rocks. It is being constructed under the Uganda Support to Municipal Infrastructure Development USMID at a tune of 86 million shillings.

The residents, through their lawyers - Byamukama, Kaboneke and company Advocates argue that in 2005, Kabarole district council under minute Kab COU 068/05 sitting on November 24 and 25 resolved to create two new sub-counties of Kateebwa in Bunyangabu and Iruhuura out of Ruteete Sub County.
In July, Mugusu Town Council became operational after being curved out of Mugusu Sub-county. However, it was later discovered that most of the leaders were geographically located in the town council and could not retain their elective posts in the sub-county.
